Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! This year I was a spider. I was a spider because it was a costume Grandpa Dan sent to me last year but it was too big - even by Mommy's standards! I have black tights and black shoes to complete the outfit, but Mommy was at work and Daddy was too lazy to help me put them on. (His words, not mine). It was rainy and cold and earlier in the week I was afraid of some kids in costumes, so I watched kids come to the door while I sat in my high chair and drank milk.
This is the pumpkin Daddy carved. This is the picture he used for inspiration.

At the Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to the pumpkin patch! Actually, it was a gardening store that sold pumpkins, but I think they had a patch in the back.

Picking-out Daddy's pumpkin.

Mommy's perfect pumpkin and my perfect pumpkin. (Get it? I am Mommy's pumpkin).
Daddy and me horsing around.

Walking to the cows at Milky Way Creamery on our search to find even better, bigger and cheaper pumpkins than the ones we bought earlier. Our search was futile, so we ate ice cream.

Wheeee!

Moooooo.

Computing with Grandpa Bill

Grandpa Bill lets me play with his computer and tear-up little pieces of paper. What a swell guy.

Cousins

Today Mommy and Auntie Jessie tried to take a nice picture of me and my cousins in front of Grandma Dene's and Grandpa Bill's neighbor's fall decorations. It was not an easy task.

This is Cousin Jackson keeping me from running away...
This is the best photo Mommy took of the three of us. Even though Cousin Caleb isn't looking directly at the camera, he at least doesn't have his fingers in front of his eyes making binoculars. Poor Cousin Caleb had to go to the emergency room in an ambulance the night this picture was taken because of an awful case of the croup, so I will cut him some slack. It is just wonderful that we could all be together.

Breakfast with My Cousins

This morning at Grandma Dene's and Grandpa Bill's I had breakfast with my cousins. Then we watched TV while Cosuin Jackson tried to keep me out of a box that had small toys that were a choking hazard. (TV watching is SO not something Mommy lets me do at my house).

Photos with Grandpa Dan

Today Grandpa Dan took Mommy and me to Sears for some photos. I was not too happy about it so we didn't have many photos taken, but some turned-out really well - especially the ones with Mommy. I love my mommy - a lot.

At the Airport

Waiting at the airport to go see Grandpa Dan. I liked to watch the airplanes and the trucks.

Please Touch Museum with My Crew

It was a beautiful day so Mommy and Maria (Oliver's Mommy) loaded Austin, Oliver and me into the car to go to Smith Memorial Playground. Unbeknownst to us, the playground is closed Mondays. So, off to the Please Touch museum we went!

Historic Yellow Springs in Chester Springs

Today Mommy, Daddy and I spent A Day with George (Washington, that is) at Historic Yellow Springs at Chester Springs. Having been at Hopewell Furnace yesterday I wasn't much in the mood for more historical hoo-ha, but I really liked this water pump. The water pump reminded Mommy of the one she used to play with at the park in Chester, Iowa. She got a little teary-eyed.

Hopewell Furnace

Today Mommy, Daddy and I toured Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site. We saw how apple butter was made, square dancing, wool spinning and a loom, sheep, a large draft horse, how charcoal was made, a water wheel, old toys and games, a cannon, and a blacksmith's shop. The bellows were broken at the blacksmith's, so no blacksmithing was being done much to Daddy's chagrin.

Reoboth Beach

Today Mommy, Daddy and I spent our Annual Beach Day at Rehoboth Beach. The water was cold, but no one could stop me from riding the waves!

Playing in the sand. I couldn't find the orange shovel, so I used a garden trowel to dig.
Splashy splashy!
My happy family.
Mommy and me.
I love to push crosswalk buttons. I get a lot of practice on my walks with Mommy.
Nice nose Mommy, it looks a lot like mine!

A Stick, a Ball, a Car and Some Dirt

Today I taught Austin how to play in the dirt. He seemed a little distressed about it, though. He wanted to put the dirt into the pot, but I only take it out.

I don't think Austin's parents usually let him chew on sticks, but Mommy didn't know that at the time. At least it is organic and a good source of fiber.

Labor Day Sunday

For Labor Day Sunday Oliver and his Mommy and Daddy came over and cooked for us! It was fun having Oliver over for a picnic. We even had our own table that Daddy had found in someone's garbage earlier in the year. At first Oliver and I were sitting across from each other, but my back was to the grown-ups and I didn't like that, so Mommy had me sit next to Oliver. I liked that. I hope Oliver didn't think I was getting fresh.

Before dinner I ate a lot of Munchos. I had never had them before. They were delicious.

French Creek State Park

For a change of pace Mommy and I spent the day at Austin's house instead of Austin visiting us. We went to French Creek State Park and played at a playground. It was a beautiful park. It was a hard day for Mommy, though. There were many rocks in the mouths and Austin's house was not me proof. But, a change of scene is always good.

My Crew at Smith Memorial Playground

Today Austin, Oliver and I went to the new Tot Lot at Smith Memorial Playground. It totally rocked. Austin has on the brown shirt and Oliver has on the blue shirt. We had a great time!

Click the pic for great photos - and a video of me chasing a squirrel!

Vacuuming

Now that I am 16 (months), Mommy said I should help clean. Today I learned how to vacuum.

Practicing...
More practice. I didn't know vacuuming was such hard work. Check-out the sweat on my chest!
Ready for Action.

Footage of a practice run. As you can hear, "Mommy" is synonymous with "Help".

MOMS Club Summer Picnic

Austin and me eating fruit - organic, of course. As you can see, I am much more refined than Austin. I use spoons when I eat fruit.
Austin can walk. He couldn't last week. That's pretty cool. I wish you could see more of it, but I'm a camera hog - just like my cousin Jackson.

Foosball!

Not only did I get to go into the basement today, I found a car charger for a cell phone AND I played some Foosball with Daddy. It was a little hard to spin the bars while holding onto the charger, but I managed.

My Crew at the Pool

Here is a picture of Oliver, Austin, Oliver's mommy and me at the pool. As you can see, we were a handful!
