I went to the doctor yesterday with Mommy and Daddy before my long car ride to Canada. The nurse gave me a Hepatitis B vaccine and put a bandage on my leg. It was a cheap bandage, most likely not Band-Aid brand, and it didn't have any fun graphics. What's up with that? Some mommies save the bandage from their babies' first vaccine. My mommy thought that was nasty and besides, this bandage was not worth saving.
Here are the stats. I have added prior information for comparison.
May 19, 2008Weight: 12 pounds, 8 ounces - 95 percentile
Height: 22 1/4 inches - 75 percentile
Head circumference: 15 1/4 inches - 75 percentile
Extra tidbit: I have the head control of a 4 month old - and I
am not even 6 weeks old!April 21, 2008Weight: 10 pounds, 3 ounces
2 ounces above birth weight
April 13, 2008Weight: 9 pounds, 9 ounces
I had already lost weight then started to regain while in the hospital. The doctor said a baby like me comes along only once a year.
April 12, 2008Weight: 9 pounds, 8 ounces
April 10, 2008 - my birthday (Daddy's too!)Weight: 10 pounds, 1 ounce
Height: 21 inches
Head circumference: 15 inches
When the nurse told Mommy how much I weighed Mommy "corrected" her twice, saying I weighed 10 pounds, not 12. After the second time Daddy had to tell Mommy I was indeed 12 pounds, not 10. Mommy had a look of disbelief for a few minutes. She was worried I wasn't getting enough to eat because I spit-up a lot. I guess she was wrong...
