Goodbye Grandma Susan

Goodbye Grandma Susan. I am sorry I never met you in person, but I sure loved our phone conversations. I know Mommy and Daddy will tell me all about you when I am older.

Stats

I went to the doctor yesterday with Mommy and Daddy before my long car ride to Canada. The nurse gave me a Hepatitis B vaccine and put a bandage on my leg. It was a cheap bandage, most likely not Band-Aid brand, and it didn't have any fun graphics. What's up with that? Some mommies save the bandage from their babies' first vaccine. My mommy thought that was nasty and besides, this bandage was not worth saving.

Here are the stats. I have added prior information for comparison.

May 19, 2008
Weight: 12 pounds, 8 ounces - 95 percentile
Height: 22 1/4 inches - 75 percentile
Head circumference: 15 1/4 inches - 75 percentile
Extra tidbit: I have the head control of a 4 month old - and I
am not even 6 weeks old!

April 21, 2008
Weight: 10 pounds, 3 ounces
2 ounces above birth weight

April 13, 2008
Weight: 9 pounds, 9 ounces
I had already lost weight then started to regain while in the hospital. The doctor said a baby like me comes along only once a year.

April 12, 2008
Weight: 9 pounds, 8 ounces

April 10, 2008 - my birthday (Daddy's too!)
Weight: 10 pounds, 1 ounce
Height: 21 inches
Head circumference: 15 inches

When the nurse told Mommy how much I weighed Mommy "corrected" her twice, saying I weighed 10 pounds, not 12. After the second time Daddy had to tell Mommy I was indeed 12 pounds, not 10. Mommy had a look of disbelief for a few minutes. She was worried I wasn't getting enough to eat because I spit-up a lot. I guess she was wrong...

Grandpa D

Mommy and Daddy brought me to Canada last night. I am now like Austin Powers - International Baby of Mystery. It was a long car ride from Pennsylvania, but I handled it well. Ok, I did have one breakdown, but it was a learning experience for all.

I met Grandpa Dan today. I like his deep voice; it rumbles like a freight train. I also like to look at his face because he wears black glasses. He seems to like me, too!

Home Movies

I realized that no one except Grandma Dene, Mommy and Daddy has seen me in action, so here is some action.

Lifting my head-up.

Crank-up the volume for this one - I am a noisy eater.

General cuteness.

...and then there were two

Today I took my first car ride to the airport with Mommy, Daddy and Grandma Dene. When we arrived at the airport, Grandma Dene got out of the car and didn't get back in. I only know three people, and she is one of them. Now I am left with the two weirdos.

Here is a picture of me and Grandma Dene. Daddy said it is rare to get a picture of Grandma with a nice smile. She must really like me.

Chillin' with my Homeboy

Tub time

Really, I'm not scared.

Daddy makes tub time a spa experience.

Thrilla in Phoenixvilla

Yesterday Mommy, Daddy and Grandma Dene took me to my first Bock Fest/Goat Race at Sly Fox Brewery. I didn't see any goat races, though. Actually, after a beer and a pretzel, I didn't see much of anything.

Attack of the Bumblebee

I should not have taunted that bumblebee - it attacked me!

I Rolled Over!

Today I was playing on my activity mat and I rolled over from my tummy to my back! Mommy laid me down on my arm, but still. Of course, when Mommy wanted me to show Grandma Dene my new trick I just wiggled and whined. I can see messing with Mommy is going to be fun.
